How to get to CERN and to the airport and the railway stations:

From Geneva Airport Cointrin:
Taxi - (approximately 25CHF)
Bus - take bus No. 10 from outside the airport exit to Bouchet
(alternatively line No. 28).
From Bouchet take bus No. 9 "9 CERN" to its terminus at the CERN entrance.
Ticket costs 2.60CHF (button B on the ticket machine).

From Geneva City Railway Station at Cornavin:
take bus No. 9 to CERN to its terminus at the CERN entrance (about 25 minutes).

Travelling by Car:
Coming from the Swiss side
Follow "Aeroport", "Lyon" or "Meyrin". When in Meyrin head for "St. Genis" (which is just across the border in France.)
CERN is on the left hand side of the "route de Meyrin", just before the border crossing.
Coming from the French side:
Follow "Gex" or "St. Genis". When in St. Genis head for the border.
CERN is on your right hand side immediately after the border crossing.

Hostel:
Arrivals before 6:00 pm enter CERN via gates A or B, they are a few hundred metres apart, and report to the CERN Reception Building (No 33; Fig. 2 + 4)
The check-in counter is in building 39, reception, ground floor. This closes at 6:00 pm, hence the reason for leaving the keys with the guards, in building 120.
Arrivals after 6:00 pm should be via Entrance "B" and go to building 120 (Fig. 2), this is just inside the gate, where you will be able to pick up your key for the hostel.
